Internship
An internship at TechSoup is not just a learning experience; it is an opportunity to be challenged and make a meaningful contribution. You will work on projects that make an impact on the world.
This is a paid, remote position. Candidates must be available to work within normal PDT time-zone working hours (8:00 AM PDT to 4:30 PM PDT or 9:00 AM PDT to 5:30 PM PDT, typically).
Position
The Solutions & Services team at TechSoup is responsible for developing service resources that support effective nonprofit adoption and use of technology. We manage a range of offers from online courses and trainings to basic helpdesk services to customized solution packages that deliver a range of services from website updates to technology migrations.
This intern will be supporting our programs by writing blog posts, customer testimonials and profile pieces, and creating a standard set of service descriptors that can be used across TechSoup and our global network to establish a common understanding of what our offers deliver. It will be critical for the intern to be able to approach the work from the perspective of the audience and figure out what kind of language and information will make sense to them and will resonate with them.
Duties and Responsibilities
Marketing Content Projects - Work will be completed with support from our design and copy-edit team and will be published on our site. Responsibilities include:
- Researching, writing, and editing blog posts for services, courses, the Digital Assessment Tool, and Hardware offers.
- Conducting customer spotlight interviews for potential blog posts and website testimonials
- Writing copy for newsletters and email marketing campaigns.
- Create a catalog of 1-line, 2-line, and paragraph descriptions of each service for Marketing to use across a variety of channels
User Stories & Testimonials – Work will be done in coordination with Program Managers and the Sales and Marketing teams to create a set of customer recommendation assets for Solutions & Services offers such as quotes and short form user stories. This work will be used for internal and external publication. Offers to be highlighted include:
- Courses
- Managed IT Services
- Digital Assessment Tool
Qualifications
Skills:
- Excellent written skills
- Microsoft Office
- Diplomacy & teamwork
Abilities:
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Interact in a professional manner with a wide variety of people.
Education
Any combination of education and experience providing the skill and knowledge for successful participation and learning in the internship would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
- Must be actively and presently enrolled an accredited college or university at an undergraduate or graduate level.
