IT Project Manager

Position Summary

The IT Project Manager will be responsible for a portfolio of information technology projects. Focus of these projects involves enhancements and improvements of Techsoup’s donation platform including Information Security and Compliance. This role follows the project(s) from the beginning to the end, from the initial proposal through completion, to provide our clients and partners with innovative high-quality solutions focused on their business needs. This position requires monitoring and reviewing deliverables of project teams and ensure successful delivery and implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead multiple projects concurrently; align projects with resource availability and allocation
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the precise execution of projects
  • Develop project scope and objectives, involving all stakeholders including Techsoup’s partners and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Develop detailed project plans and track progress; use appropriate verification techniques to handle changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
  • Measure project performance using project management systems, tools, and techniques
  • Report and raise blockers to management as needed
  • Maintain relationship with all stakeholders: executives, internal clients and project teams, and external partners
  • Perform risk management to minimize project delivery
  • Build and maintain all necessary project documentation

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of Information Technology
  • At least 5 years of experience with Information Technology and at least 2 years of experience in Project Management and implementation
  • Experience in eCommerce platform & Agile program management
  • Experience in Information Systems Security and Compliance
  • Experience in UAT processes within client organization
  • Experience in Jira a plus
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and diverse/multiple stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational skills to juggle activities without losing sight of the highest priority items
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to understand concepts and make reasoned decisions with sometimes imperfect data
  • Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment; Experience working with a geographically dispersed workforce using video conferencing and Internet chat communications tools
  • Should be well versed with the following program management and implementation activities:

 

  1. Project Kickoff - Meet with executive or team lead, review project methodology
  2. Approval to Start - Create costs plan; initiate and obtain approvals
  3. Analysis Readiness - Review solutions document with architecture team
  4. Design Readiness - Create and submit project expenditure report for approval
  5. Construction Readiness - Review solution design with architecture team and technical lead
  6. Integration Test Readiness - Review test strategy and release strategy with test management
  7. Approval to Go Live – Present test results, risk and mitigations for Go Live
  8. Close Out - Complete project closure checklist

 

  • Project Management Professional/Certified Scrum Master as a plus

Other Requirements:

  • Flexibility to travel in Europe and internationally as required
  • Based in Warsaw
