Purpose of the Role
Currently TechSoup is looking for a Program Manager who is motivated to make an active and lasting contribution to building a better environment for civil society in Central and Eastern Europe. If you are interested in making impact in the space of civil society and you have an open, positive mindset and a highly collaborative, can-do attitude, we want to hear from you. You will be working closely with the leadership team in Europe, the TechSoup Global Network, and other contributors outside the organization.
This position will be the driving force behind the success of newly launched capacity building program addressed to CSOs from Central and Eastern Europe (with a special focus on CSOs from Poland and Hungary). Program Manager is responsible for the overall integrity and coherence of the program and for ensuring the highest quality of program delivery.
Your duties and responsibilities
Leading on developing and delivering a full spectrum of the Program from a funders perspective while ensuring alignment with social mission, and long-term goals of the organization, and its Network.
Researching and identifying needs of the target audience.
Mapping key stakeholders and potential partners for the Program.
Developing short-term and long-term strategy and roadmap on the TSE Program, along with MEARL plan, in close collaboration with Program Team and key Stakeholders.
Overseeing the development and implementation of the Program Communication Strategy, in close collaboration with Communication Manager and Program Team and key Stakeholders.
Providing strategic and programmatic support for grant-funded programs, and social enterprise services across the TechSoup Europe Partner Network.
Ensuring excellent program delivery across Europe and beyond, through team and project management experience.
Developing MEARL Plan for the program and ensure constant monitoring and evaluation of the program and all projects, according to each project’s specific MEARL plan.
Co-creating grants proposals and budgets to ensure appropriate costs are included and to determine the level of financial support and capacity needed for implementation, in close cooperation with the Development Team and Grant Operations Portfolio Manager.
Coordinating the entire project lifecycle, including development of scope, gathering of specifications, tracking, reporting, and implementation etc.
Skills you'll need to accomplish your duties
At least 7 years of experience managing international programs and projects (especially with budgets above 1 million Euro) related to civic engagement area, dedicated to activists and CSOs target audience.
Experience in strategic documents development (strategies, internal policies).
BA or other advanced degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field is strongly preferred.
At least 5 years of experience in people management, with specific focus on talent development and coaching.
Significant professional experience working internationally.
Experience with business metrics and key performance indicators.
Thorough knowledge of internal control systems and auditing standards.
Experience with financial report preparation, and matrix budget preparation/compilation.
Experience with information systems support, proficiency in MS Office Applications and experience working with several different accounting software packages required.
Fluency in Polish and English, both oral and written communications
