TechSoup is looking for a qualified marketing intern to join our Solutions and Services team. Our team manages and develops tech services and courses to serve the distinct needs of nonprofits. This remote internship requires excellent written communication skills and a desire to learn more about and support the nonprofit sector. Work will be completed with support from our design and copy-edit team and will be published on our site.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Researching, writing, and editing blog posts regarding cybersecurity services
  • Conducting five-six customer spotlight interviews for potential blog posts and website testimonials
  • Participation in A/B testing in email marketing of Microsoft Services to nonprofits

  • Improving Cyber Security in the New Year
  • How to Install Microsoft 2019
  • Preparing your Marketing Plan for 2021
  • How one Nonprofit uses Managed IT
  • How Improving Data Management Can Help Win Grants


  • To get real-world experience in a nonprofit marketing department.
  • Learn what goes into planning and producing a compelling content from start to finish.
  • Gain valuable hands-on experience 
  • To have some fun along the way!

Skills and Qualifications


  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Is self-motivated and inquisitive
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Can work well in a team environment. Is comfortable collaborating with others


  • Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Has a concise and succinct writing style
  • Interacts in a professional manner with a wide variety of people
  • Is willing to experiment with new ideas
  • Can plan, organize, and prioritize tasks


  • Must be actively and presently enrolled an accredited college or university at an undergraduate or graduate level


  • Remote internship
  • 8 - 12 hrs. per week
  • Minimum 8 -10 week placement

January 11, 2021


This is an unpaid internship, but college credit may be available.
