Program Manager, Digital Solutions and Hardware

Location: Warsaw, Poland / Remote work opportunity

Position Summary

This position will be the driving force behind the success of the hardware and solutions program as TechSoup develops and launches new solutions for supporting nonprofit digital capacity building. This role will oversee various Solutions & Services and Hardware pilot projects and programs to both deliver on the initial scope of work, which is often grant-funded, and to guide the conversion of those projects into clearly defined programs or offers at TechSoup. The objective of this role is to nurture and manage projects and programs in their early phases of development, and then transition these projects to be managed through the broader TechSoup programmatic management processes and systems. Program Manager has also the leadership ability and technical prowess to drive product planning and delivery in collaboration with users, engineering teams, senior management and key partners in the field. 

Your duties and responsibilities

Solutions & Services:

  • Support enterprise-wide strategic projects, and lead regional projects to implement new service offers including planning, pricing and implementation.
  • Prepare new offers covering the operational and financial aspects of the program.
  • Prioritize projects and assign resources (adapt portfolio management strategy).
  • Research and identify service growth opportunities.
  • Develop new services on an end-to-end basis (idea, concept testing, implementation and rollout).
  • Identify potential new external partners (corporations, foundations, NGOs, government entities, etc.). with whom we can co-create new services and offers, and develop relationships and negotiate partnership deals.
  • Research and identify nonprofit tech support needs in Europe.
  • Work with our European partner network to co-design and launch new offers.
  • Outline the methodology for expanding TechSoup’s services to new markets.
  • Lead, motivate and develop the team, ensuring effective team working and cross-functional collaboration.

Hardware Program:

  • Manage relationships with TechSoup contributors, by engaging with them regularly to raise issues, report on results, suggest improvements or other ways to engage with TechSoup.
  • Analyze and comment on program data, functional workflows, and processes on a regular basis to generate recommendations for hardware program performance improvement.
  • Ensure that marketing and content messaging related to the hardware offering is aligned with both TechSoup and the contributor partner’s objectives.
  • Coordinate with program implementation and tech development teams to ensure programs are properly set up and functioning.
  • Provide customer-facing teams with correct and relevant information related to the programs.

Skills you'll need to accomplish your duties

Any combination of education and experience that provides the required skill and knowledge base for successful performance in this role would qualify. Typical qualifications and education would include:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in business, administration, engineering or related field preferred or equivalent experience working with the non-profit sector desirable.
  • 5 years of program/project management experience including people management, program or project development or similar role involving the creation-to-launch management of new business offers or programs.
  • Experience developing and negotiating relationships with new partners.
  • A keen interest in and understanding of digital productivity solutions (suites, apps) and hardware options
  • Preferably some experience with ecommerce merchandizing.
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing and designing programs, solving problems, and driving solutions into operation.
  • Demonstrated passion for developing new initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills for multinational audiences – both written and spoken.
  • Experience with testing and iterating new offers for continuous improvement.
  • Fluent written and spoken English; other language is a plus.
