This is a paid, remote position. Candidates must be available to work within normal PDT time-zone working hours (8:00 AM PDT to 4:30 PM PDT or 9:00 AM PDT to 5:30 PM PDT, typically).


Reporting to the Associate Program Manager, NGOsource, the Strategic Operations intern will support the operational success of the NGOsource team. The intern will be responsible for team administrative support and development, and program and productdelivery. The intern will mainly be working on Grantmaker presentation templates and contribute to ways in which NGOsource can present their data / impact effectively. The Strategic Operations intern will also work on developing a process manual for all Grantmaker related communication with NGOsource, a “Partner Support Manual” (i.e. email templates, how to’s, PowerPoint templates) The intern will leave TechSoup with a strong understanding of NGOsource’ s programs and additionally hone their communications skills and gain knowledge on the inner workings of international grant making.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Document and develop a Partner Support Process Manual for NGOsource internal use.   
  • Develop PowerPoint templates, that will aid the NGOsource team present their data and impact effectively and creatively to Grantmakers.
  • Create documentation and workflow for the current processes as well as new processes to be included in the guide.
  • Brainstorm creative use and ways to present NGOsource data to external stakeholders.
  • Support NGOsource Operations team throughout the ED process.



  • Microsoft Office skills, and particularly, experience with Excel and Powerpoint
  • Experience with Power BI preferred
  • Understanding of different types of data visualization
  • Use graphs, infographics, and other methods to visualize data
  • Nonprofit / charity sector experience or knowledge preferred


  • Ability to interact in a professional manner with a variety of people

Any combination of education and experience providing the skill and knowledge for successful participation and learning in the internship would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

  • Must be actively and presently enrolled an accredited college or university at an undergraduate or graduate level.
