Internship

An internship at TechSoup is not just a learning experience; it is an opportunity to make a challenging and meaningful contribution. You will get to work on real world inspiring projects that drive goals and objectives.

The Executive Support Intern will support the executive team by learning basic knowledge of operations at the executive level.

This is a paid position located in our San Francisco office.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Executive Support Intern will:

  • Research and package briefing documents for upcoming events, conference and media interviews for the CEO; provide recommendations to help CEO’s participation/engagement in these events.
  • Assist in finalizing and launching the “completed staff work” approach to help expedite CEO’s review and decision making process.
  • Organize and document operating guidelines and procedures .
  • Provide support to the FY20 budget process.
  • Learn basic business skills including research, business communications, documentations and project management.
  • Gain basic knowledge about operations at the executive level.
  • Learn the annual budgeting process.

Qualifications

Knowledge

  • Social networking and non-profit knowledge preferred.
  • Conducting and summarizing research results for various purposes (upcoming conference, market research, topical research, etc…).

Skills

  • Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Diplomacy and teamwork; positive attitude and detail orientation in his/her work.

Abilities

  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Interact in a professional manner with a wide variety of people.

Education

  • Must be actively and presently enrolled an accredited college or university at an undergraduate or graduate level.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in general business operations.
