An internship at TechSoup is not just a learning experience; it is an opportunity to make a challenging and meaningful contribution. You will get to work on real world inspiring projects that drive goals and objectives.

The Global Eligibility Intern will increase the Global Eligibility team visibility, impact, and engagement within the partner network as well as within TechSoup. Projects will elevate our business practices while also providing hands on experience for someone interested in global policy and nonprofits.

This is a paid position located in the San Francisco office.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Global Eligibility Intern will:

  • Work on a daily basis alongside the designated manager helping with eligibility escalations from partners.
  • At least, for a portion of the internship, on a daily basis engage with other teams outside of the Global Eligibility team in order to better understand the internal need for a knowledge base system.
  • Research on a weekly basis the potential and actual market size of civil societies in each jurisdiction.
  • Be in contact on at least a monthly basis, with partners in order to better understand their needs and level of engagement with the Global Eligibility team.
  • Gain exposure and understanding of the global nonprofits.
  • Assist the team in knowledge management, communication, and collaboration within and outside of the TechSoup network.

Expected Project Outcomes:

  • Create a FAQ system for our partners in order to promote increased engagement and transparency into the eligibility process.
  • Create a FAQ system or knowledge base for internal stakeholders in order to disseminate the knowledge and importance of the LEDs and the process behind the creation of LEDs.
  • Research the market size for all 236 jurisdictions in order to increase our understanding of the market we reach and civil society expansions in each jurisdiction.
  • Organize and archive the Global Eligibility repositories such as SharePoint and google drive.



  • Social networking and non-profit knowledge preferred


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Diplomacy and teamwork.
  • Legal and Market research


  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Ability to interact in a professional manner with a wide variety of people.


  • Must be actively and presently enrolled in an accredited college or university at an undergraduate or graduate level.
